15.11. We spend a night in one of the round green roofed huts. Sleep was good and even 5 fast cups of coffee yesterday evening didn't cause sleeplessness (interesting word).

We started at 8:30 a.m. and got water below the road about 200m up the camp. The well was sllightly dirty so we're using filter pump. Sometimes accompanying us local villagers with goats and cows. The "walking traffic" is quite high. We met new tribe - children with wool hats. During the night it should be chilly here. Still slowly gaining altitude.

We didnt take pictures of the nice waterfall below Gidir Got 3428m summit on a way because of shadow. We left this for return way.

We met first foreigners (two spanish guys) and than wade accross river Jinbar Wenz. Water was very cold. Strange feeling, like in High Tatras mountains in Slovakia and not in Ethiopia. But sun is strong and sunscreen is "a must". Through fields of barley we came to Geech village with first giant Lobelias at level of 3600m

Ahmed proposed to visit his relatives in one of the village cots. It was like in other world. We jumped back to the stone age. They made coffee for us "from the scratch" - washing and roasting of the green beans, crunching in cannon cartrige and boiling with water. The coffee was served in small cups. In the meantime housewife did two kinds of pancakes (injara + "bread like"). After the coffee ceremony we continued. It was very "naturalistic". The woman soaked injara by her hands into the hot milk, smashed it and served. It looked like slated dishwash clout. Complete family and us poked this warm, sour and spicy mass by hands...

Surprisingly we hadn't any stomach problems. Even more surprisingly during the whole stay in Ethiopia nobody from us suffered with stomach problems despite we have eaten quite often in restaurants. Probably it was because we were applying "internal desinfection" by the Czech national spirit - plum brandy. Next issue was that we were at heights higher than 3500m where is (I am calling it) "clean dirt" due to lower temperatures and "clean envinronment".
Just 20 minutes walk after village is Geech camp at 3650m. We erected our tent among Lobelias just beside stone hut of the park guard men.

Immediately we were surrounded by the local "wild"childen. They did not want to make photos but after giving them baloons agreed. In one moment herd of sheeps started to rush and we saw (those of us which have good eyesight) Simien wolf - the most rare beast in the world.

Together with Dan we did small walk around but rain was comming. It's chilly, about 8 degrees. Sunset was shoddy. It's pity that my picture of children siluets with sun ball was fuzzy...

During the night we heard approaching hyenas. But scouts and guards ward off them.
